"Capturing the Beauty of Mother-Daughter Love: A Full Model Experience"

Mother & Daughter

A mother and daughter photoshoot is truly special because of the unbreakable bond between them. Sally, at the age of 42, is a wife and a mother to a son and daughter. These photoshoots always bring a smile to my face, and I'm sure that someday Sally and Angie will look back and be grateful for having booked a photo session. They opted for the full model experience which included professional hair and makeup from our talented artists, along with some light refreshments. Sally was treated to a full hair and makeup makeover while Angie received a touch of curl to her hair and a dab of lip gloss to make her lips shine.

"Juggling Motherhood, an MBA, and Bodybuilding: A Portrait of Jamie"

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of photographing Jamie on multiple occasions. She is a remarkable woman who juggles many roles - she's a devoted single mother to a beautiful daughter, possesses an MBA, serves in the Navy Reserves, and is a bodybuilder. During one of our photoshoots, Jamie wore a striking red dress. She confided in me that, as a tomboy growing up, fashion wasn't her forte. However, I must say that the red dress looked absolutely stunning on her.

As a creator, I always recommend bringing multiple outfits and accessories to a photoshoot. This provides me with various options to experiment with and find the perfect combination of clothing, posing, and props that bring out the best in a person and their surroundings.

"50 & Fabulous: Embracing the Beauty and Wisdom of Aging"

As we get older, we start to realize the importance of preserving memories. We have lived through so much and have gained wisdom and experience that we want to pass down to our loved ones. That's why, being 50 is a fabulous time in our lives. We have more time on our hands, kids most likely have left the home, and we can finally spend more time for ourselves.

One of the best ways to preserve memories is through photography. And having a portrait done at 50 is more important than ever. A portrait is not just a simple photo, it is an heirloom that will be passed down to generations to come. A portrait captures a moment in time, a memory that will never be forgotten.

I recently had the pleasure of working with a client who was about to embark on a new chapter in her life. She had just left her job and was moving to California with her 16-year-old daughter. She wanted to celebrate this new journey by having a mother and daughter photoshoot. And she opted for the full glam session which included hair and make-up, wardrobe styling, and hors d'oeuvres.

During the photoshoot, the mother and daughter had a great time together. They laughed, hugged, and created beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. And when the photos were ready for viewing, the client was thrilled with the results. She ended up purchasing our largest package, wanting to have as many photos as possible to hang on her new home in California.

Months later, I still keep in touch with both the mother and daughter on Facebook and Instagram. They are doing well in their new city, and they often share the photos we took together on their social media pages. It is amazing to see how much joy and happiness these photos have brought to their lives.

If you are 50 and are looking for a way to preserve memories, consider having a portrait done. It is an investment that will last a lifetime and beyond. A portrait is not just a picture, it is a tangible memory that captures a moment in time and tells a story. Whether it is a solo portrait or a family photoshoot, it is a way to celebrate life and the people you love. As time passes, memories fade, but a portrait will always be there to remind you of the wonderful moments you shared with your loved ones. So, don't hesitate, book your portrait session today and create memories that will last a lifetime.

"Toy Distraction: A 2-Year-Old's Unamused Expression"

As a specialist in women's portraiture, I thoroughly enjoy photographing individuals of all genders and ages. During this shoot, this 2 year old boy was initially resistant to having his photo taken. However, his mother brought along his favorite toy, which briefly distracted him and allowed me to capture this image. I love the deadpan expression on his face. I feel it conveys a strong emotion thru his eyes.

"Feline Fun: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at a Custom Cat Ear Photoshoot with www.tiptoedreamz.com"

I recently had the opportunity to conduct a promotional photoshoot for www.tiptoedreamz.com, a company that specializes in selling custom cat ears and tails for women that are both sexy and creative. This was an exceptional photoshoot with the two owners, where we had a lot of fun capturing various shots of them donning different sets of ears and tails. Some moments were so amusing that we couldn't help but burst into laughter (as seen in the bottom photo). Nevertheless, we managed to produce some fantastic photographs that the ladies were thoroughly delighted with.

"Transforming Self-Consciousness: The Power of Editing in Photography"

Photography is a multifaceted art form, requiring attention to detail and a keen eye for composition. From professional hair and makeup to the perfect outdoor location, there are countless elements that contribute to creating a great photograph. Choosing between a shallow depth of field or a wide angle, working with light direction and using reflectors or strobes - these are all critical factors in a successful outdoor shoot.

But perhaps the most crucial aspect of any photoshoot is editing. Oftentimes, clients don't even realize the extent to which editing can transform their images. In fact, it can make all the difference between an average photo and one that truly stands out.

In the case of the woman in the before and after photo above, she wanted to capture some sexy outdoor images that showcased her figure. However, she was self-conscious about her pregnancy scars from having given birth to three children. I assured her that I would be able to work around this, using different camera angles and lighting to minimize their appearance.

Although we were able to shoot around the scars and pose her stomach away from the camera, I knew that this image had the potential to be even better with a little bit of editing. However, this presented a few challenges - for one, the location was swarming with mosquitoes, and the woman's skin was quite sensitive. But thanks to my extensive experience with editing, I was able to remove the scars using a variety of techniques, including frequency separation, dodging and burning, and skin softening.

When the woman saw the final images, she was overjoyed to see her scars gone and amazed at the transformation. This is just one example of how editing can truly elevate a photo to the next level.

"A Musical Masterpiece: Capturing the Grace and Talent of a Young Pianist"

My spouse is an excellent piano instructor and her pupils consistently perform exceptionally in contests they participate in. Upon winning a significant competition, they are invited to play with an orchestra and therefore require a suitable photo for the concert program. One of her students, Abbie, recently won and required a photo. Abbie is a reserved and poised young girl who, despite being only 12 years old, appears mature for her age. I wanted to provide her mother with a unique and special photo for the program that she would be proud to display on her wall. The pose was suggested by my wife, and I added a pink flower to add a creative and eye-catching touch, as I believe piano is an art form. The flower also complements Abbie's dress and rosy cheeks.

"Prescribing Professionalism: Elevating Your Headshots and Business Photos with a Personal Touch"

Elizabeth approached us seeking a professional headshot for her medical residency application. I recommended taking additional business photos for her LinkedIn and other platforms. As a nod to her profession as a doctor, I suggested incorporating a stethoscope as a prop. The session was enjoyable, and Elizabeth looked fantastic. I believe that a fun atmosphere results in the best photographs.
